Brenston barks goodbye

William White – Webmaster

Will “Blanco” White is the current longest serving member of the masthead, having started his (in)famous career under the DeReuil regime. Having been given his current pseudonym by “Slurp” Thompson of the Tamara Kay controversy, he has continually served as webmaster through the DeReuil, Schmitz, and Canady years. He has always strived to help his more loquacious Arts and Letters colleagues defend the Catholic character of the university by putting in the late nights year after year. He is thankful for all the amazing friendships he has made as part of this great paper. He still misses the friends who have moved on and wishes the ones who remain the best of luck keeping Notre Dame true to her namesake. After graduation, he will commission as a second lieutenant and report to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia to begin his next adventure leading Marines.

Kateri Castillo – Layout Manager

Kateri’s Rover career began when she became co-webmaster with Blanco when he went to Rome. She loved it so much that she tried to take over the role of webmaster after his return. When that did not work, Kateri decided to become the unofficial boss of publishing night by stepping into the role of layout manager. Despite her failed coup attempts, Kateri is so thankful to the Rover for the opportunity to have been on an amazing team and for the non-dining hall dinners. She will miss the laughter and friendships made, but not necessarily the lack of sleep. After graduation, Kateri will be returning to the Mid-Atlantic region as an engineer at Clark Construction, using the delegation and teamwork skills she’s tuned during publishing night.

Brenston is a dog who has now decided that his matchmaking skills might not be on point but his team building skills should be highly desired. This is his yearly article and the shortest Brenston farewell he’s done. Ciao, seniors.
